"Permit's Twist Once again" is a song written by Kal Mann and Dave Appell, and released as a single by Chubby Checker. One of the biggest striking singles of 1961, it reached No.8 on the U.Due south. Billboard popular nautical chart (No.3 on Greenbacks Box) in August of that year and subsequently reached No.2 in the U.K. in February 1962. The song refers to the Twist dance craze and Checker's 1960 single "The Twist", a two-fourth dimension U.S. No.1 single (in September 1960 and again in January 1962 on re-release).

The song received the 1962 Grammy Award for All-time Stone & Roll Recording. Checker also recorded the song in German every bit "Der Twist Beginnt" and in Italian every bit "Balliamo il Twist". A sample of "Der Twist Beginnt" would after be used past The Residents to brainstorm their 1976 anthology The Third Reich 'n Gyre. The song appears on the soundtrack of the 2011 picture show The Assist.[1]

Croation singer Tatjana Cameron TajĨi made a remake of the vocal in Croatian renaming it Moj republic of mali je opasan. In 1985, Kids Incorporated covered "Allow's Twist Over again" in the Season 2 episode "Stone of Ages".[2]
